    Hi YachtNerd. The Gross Tonnage (GT) is a measure for the total internal enclosed volume of a ship. It can be calculated by the following formula:

    {\displaystyle GT=V\times (0.2+0.02\times \log _{10}(V))}

    Here, V is the enclosed volume in cubic meters.
