In a model test, everything is scaled down to the model size, the length of the model, the beam, the draft, the weight, the speed, and even time is scaled.
However, one thing is not scaled, and that is the water the model is towed in. Because water stays water. It is not possible to scale water. If you want a 100% reliable model test the tank should be filled with pure alcohol. But that gives also some problems 🙂
